Data & Cookies
Last updated: July 2026
Abyss is currently an early-stage project website for a reflective digital product in development. This page explains what personal data may be collected through this website at its current stage, and how cookies may be used.
1. What we collect
Waitlist sign-ups. When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address. You may optionally provide your role and country, and you can optionally opt in to receive email updates. We also record the date you signed up.
Email enquiries. If you choose to contact us by email, we may receive your name, email address, and any information you choose to include in your message. We will only use this information to respond to your enquiry.
2. Waitlist
The Abyss waitlist is active on this website. Only your email address is required to join; role and country are optional and help us understand who is interested. We use your details to:
- notify you when early access opens, and
- send occasional product updates, only if you opted in when signing up.
Your sign-up is stored securely and is never sold or shared with advertisers. We keep it until Abyss launches or until you ask to be removed, whichever comes first. You can leave the waitlist or request deletion at any time by emailing hello@abyss.ie — we'll remove your details within 30 days, except where law requires retention.
3. Cookies
This website may use strictly necessary technical cookies that allow the website to function properly.
At this stage, Abyss does not intentionally use analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, or marketing cookies.
If analytics or marketing tools are added in the future, this page will be updated and, where required, a cookie consent banner will be added.
4. How your information is used
If you contact us, your information may be used to:
- respond to your message
- keep a record of the enquiry
- improve how Abyss communicates with early users, partners, or collaborators
We do not sell your personal data.
5. How long information is kept
Waitlist details are kept until Abyss launches or until you ask to be removed. Email enquiries may be kept for as long as needed to respond and manage early-stage project communications. You can request deletion of your personal data at any time.
6. Your rights
Under data protection law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. You may also object to or restrict certain uses of your data.
7. Contact
For any privacy or cookie-related questions, please contact hello@abyss.ie.
